Deep exfoliation is a skincare process that goes beyond the surface layer of the skin to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and eliminate deeper-seated impurities.

The goal of deep exfoliation is to reveal fresher, smoother skin underneath, improve skin texture and tone, stimulate cell renewal, and enhance the absorption of skincare products.

By removing the accumulated dead skin and dirt more thoroughly than daily cleansing or regular exfoliation, deep exfoliation can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, leading to a clearer, more youthful complexion. 

Regular deep exfoliation can also trigger collagen and elastin rebuild overtime reducing the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

Step 1: Soak

• Run a warm shower or bath & let the water soften your skin for at least 10 minutes. The longer you soak, the better your results will be.
• Wet your glove and allow Moode’s® signature fabric to shape itself to your hand
• For extra glove to skin friction: wring any excess water out of your glove, and wipe any water away from your skin

Step 2: Scrub 

• Move yourself out of the water & exfoliate up & down, in smooth, firm, long strokes to begin the skin peeling process. The use of body wash or soap is discouraged as the tight weave of the glove relies on direct friction to lift & remove dead skin cells, naturally revealing soft & glowing new skin. 
• Redness is normal due to increased blood circulation, this is apart of the skin detoxing experience as improved blood flow increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells.
• NOTE: For current eczema breakouts, we recommend adjusting the pressure & using small circular motions with a gentle milk cleanser when treating the area. 

Step 3: Rinse & Soothe

• Rinse & pat dry with a soft towel. Nourish your skin immediately with your favorite body moisturizer or oil, while it’s supple, damp and now perfectly primed to absorb whatever product you wish to apply
• Machine wash your glove inside its protective wash bag once a month on a warm cycle with mild detergent.

• Keep your Moode ®  mitt clean with zero fuss. Slide it into its laundry bag provided and throw it in the wash. Simple, straightforward, just the way your skin care routine should be. 

• Machine wash on cold-warm, with a milk detergent once a month. 

• Do not tumble dry. 

• Since MOODE® exfoliating gloves provide a full body deep exfoliation, we recommend using it 1-4 times a month depending on skin type. Avoid over exfoliating. Listen to your skin.

• We recommend replacing your glove every 3-6 months or whenever it becomes less effective. 

• Due to it's durable seams, and machine washable design, Moode®  gloves do not need replacing as often as other plant-based gloves on the market and are designed to last longer. 

• Soak for longer. This ritual softens the skin and prepares any dead skin for removal, setting the stage for a more transformative scrub.

• Wring the water out of your glove. This allows for an even closer skin to glove contact. Skip the soap or scrubs before and during your session.

• Wipe any excess water away from your skin. Patience is key; it may take a few gentle passes before the magic of peeling begins to reveal itself.

• Wait longer between deep exfoliating sessions. Sometimes once a month is enough for some users.

• Remember, the art of peeling is a personal journey, with dry skin often shedding more visibly than oily skin. Yet, regardless of this, rest assured your skin is undergoing an incredible exfoliation and to still expect significant results with regular use. Don't forget to always moisturize after.

We recommend exfoliating before shaving. Exfoliating before shaving helps to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, allowing for a closer and smoother shave.

This process can also help to lift and soften the hairs, reducing the risk of razor bumps and ingrown hairs.

After exfoliating, your skin will be better prepared for shaving, resulting in a more effective and irritation-free shave!
